We are currently studying the OH-defects and trace element content in detrital quartz from flysch basins of the SE Alps and Outer Dinarides to trace their possible provenance. Moreover, the OH-defects and trace element content of quartz crystals from granitic rocks of Ivrea zone are also under study.
